My top tips for portraits that pop…
Lighting, for this shoot we used 2 x Octobox modifiers on Godox Outdoor AD600 BM lights, set at 1/8 power and 1/32 power. Both facing toward the subject, one up high and one down low.
Kit my trusty Canon 5D Mark 4 with an 85mm prime lens. ISO 100 f5.6 1/125. If you find that you want more grain in the final image remember you can add that in the edit. I find grain gives depth to colour.
Poses are relaxed and fun, direction is given and poses are modelled by me, this shoot was tethered so we can see the images as they happen.
Edits were made in Lightroom, which is my favourite software for editing, we boosted the texture, clarity, dehaze and colour. I also added some grain for a more filmic look.
